Graduate Intern Programme

Graduate Intern Programme

LCET offer graduates aged 20 to 25 the opportunity to work with us for a year to develop new skills and gain experience of professional youth work.

Our graduate internship programme is open to one candidate this year either from the local community in Luton or from elsewhere in the UK.

Interns have the chance to experience a vast range of activities and projects with both the chaplaincy and therapeutic teams. You'll also benefit from participating in staff continuing professional development and our staff retreats. We are looking for someone who is willing to get stuck in with everything from speaking in a school assembly to working with young people in a self harm support group or making tea and designing flyers.

We develop a specific programme for each intern, dependent on your interests and abilities, but we'll also want to stretch you to explore new skills and experiences.

We provide a weekly allowance and a one-year bus pass. Accommodation for those from outside Luton may also be provided.

If you would like to apply for the 2011/2012 internship then please fill out the application form from the downloads menu and send with a covering letter to Claire Yuen, LCET, 3a Upper George Street, Luton, LU1 3QX. Alternatively you can email it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). If you would like to know more, you are welcome to contact Claire, who oversees our graduate intern programme, and have a chat by phone, email, or in person.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 21st June and interviews will be held on Monday 27th June. The programme starts on Thursday 1st September.
