"We're not worthy! we're not worthy!"
In August 2009, LCET piloted a worship service at the Greenbelt Arts Festival that explored creative ways of using film quotes and themes.
The idea came from thinking about some of the great quotes from cinema, both past and present, and how those lines could be used to express something spiritual. Connecting culture and faith is something we are passionate about exploring. A small group of us began working on different aspects of what a service might include: Liturgy, a Creed, a Confession and even a Hymn. The aim was to create a fun and slightly irreverent session, that nevertheless had serious and meangingful purpose.
The resulting material was originally only intended for use at the Festival but, with some great feedback from those attending, we have decided to make it available more widely, for others to use. Enjoy!
