LCET has been working with disadvantaged young people in Luton since 1993. We are proud of the reputation we have been able to develop for caring, child-centred work which focuses on the emotional and social needs of the young person.

Our therapeutic team run groups for young people who need help and support on six critical topics:

Anger and Conflict Management
Teen Pregnancy Prevention
Self Worth
Being in Care
ADHD and Hyperactivity
Self Harm

About Our Groups
Our groups combine a clear programme with the chance for young people to talk openly about their feelings and thoughts with their peers and with an adult who has the time and experience to listen.

We offer ongoing support for young people who have completed a group through our network of pastoral chaplains in local schools and through organised events at our cafe and arts centre.

Joining a group may not solve all the issues faced by a young person, but we believe it will make a real difference and begin a process of change and development.

We complement groups with regular follow up evenings at our cafe. Young people can attend these sessions to maintain contact with others from the group, talk to a member of the staff team or access further help and support.
